Unlike USA, CDMA cell phone technology is under big boom in India. Multiple providers serving billions of customers. Reliance,Tata indicom, and MTS are major CDMA mobile phone service providers in India.

CDMA is latest  advanced technology but  handset makers like NOKIA showed less interest on CDMA customers. So most of the time customers forced to purchase feature limited  phone models provided by Service providers.

Recently many mobile hand set makers entered into Indian market focusing on CDMA customers like MacroMax,Lava,Spice .. etc.

UPDATE: ZEn C440 ( really long battery life – Charge 10 days once with moderate talk time every day ) is suggested model based on my Indian friends experience and I checked handset. I tested Long battery life. It is true and has torch facility ( really very bright light, but it consumes battery).It works with All CDMA providers. It costs you Rs 1800/-

Complete CDMA experience with all latest features ( TV,Social network,Java,touch,High speed data support ..) you can get with Samsung Corby Speed F339 CDMA. It is also well tested by my friends. It costs you around 7000/-

Above two models for entry and advanced users. Many models are there but above 2 phone models are best performers and tested by me and my Indian Friends.
