Once upon a time family members means humans but now family members mean incude humans and pets also. Why human likes pets than fellow human?
Trust and confidence on pets. Pets never cheat you for property. They never back stab you. They never demand for expensive things 
. Most importantly PETS listen you and follows your instructions. Some times PETS like dogs acts smart than you and saves you from trouble. Person victim of cheating by other person tend to trust PETS than other human.
Controlling others is most liked thing by us. Humans love to control others. Is this one of the reason of increasing pet love? Anyone likes PET that never listen his/her commands?
