How to check IMEI number CDMA mobile phones like Reliance, TATA DOCOMO,MTS

Recently Management provided CDMA mobile to me. While registering asset, portal asked to enter IMEI ( International Mobile Equipment Identity )number. For my old mobile phone I am able to see IMEI number dialing some #*.. command. But this time no luck.I checked on box pack and back side battery , i saw alphanumeric string of id which is not IMEI number. As far as I know IMEI should be 15 digit string.

Searched a bit in Google and found interesting fact. For CDMA phones there is no IMEI concept exists but MEID or ESN concept is there. So if anyone asks about IMEI number of your CDMA phone from Reliance,MTS,Sprint or any CDMA phone in world, give him/her MEID number.

Example MEID : A00000030ACXxxx

MEID is IMEI number of your CDMA phone.GSM phone short code to get IMEI will not work for your CDMA.Check your IMEI by opening back cover of your CDMA phone. Some times it is called as ESN number also. So now you know how to get IMEI number of your CDMA mobile phone .

Learning DNS (Domain Name System ) is mandatory for SA and Networking guys. If you search for internet, you will get ton of information about DNS. Then why I am writing this “DNS name service explained” tutorial series?

It is my attempt of presenting DNS for non experts and experts in order and with easy to understand examples by eliminating too complicated and advance topics which are not required for day 2 day administration. If you are non expert or new to DNS, you can learn all concepts of DNS and if you are expert you can find interesting real time examples like building your own root name server,how “.” zone works in real root DNS servers..etc.

PC which can run 4 UBUNTU VMs of 128 MB RAM each,storage 4GB – 1GB for each VM.

My Experience and review SAMSUNG CORBY 2 GT-S3850

For my new web project, now I need social networking enabled contract free – unlocked mobile phone with very tight budget of $110. My requirements:touch screen,Java,Flash support.Yahoo! messenger and twitter.off course WiFi and good battery life also.

You can suggest me ‘n’ number of models but my budget is $110.Checked many models but all are min $210 above.At last I purchased SAMSUNG Corby 2 – GT S3850. It is having all above mentioned features and that too in my budget limit!!!

PROS

Touch Screen: Good sensitive smooth touch screen interface by Corby 2 GT-S3850.

Network and Band : Corby 2 is global phone.It supports EDGE but not 3G ( for Faster data service , you can use WiFi).

Band	GSM&EDGE Band	EDGE (850, 900, 1,800, 1,900)

Multitasking : So you can run multiple applications at a time. You can 24×7 online with built in support of social networking apps.(Gtalk,Yahoo,MSN,FaceBook,Twitter..).

Java and Flash support: You can run any Flash or Java based games or applications.26 MB internal memory and can extend 16GB using memory card.

Browsing experience: Good ! same browsing engine used by Iphone. You can view complete website that too with built in Flash, Java and adobe pdf support.You can zoom any section of the webpage.

WiFi: Very easy to configure and you can use GPRS or WiFi in case if any of the service not available.Fail over between WiFi and EDGE is easy.Good thing is battery consumption while using WiFi is less compare to other handsets.

CAMERA: 2MP camera is good and you can upload photos directly to Flicker,Picasa,Photo bucket …etc services instantly.

Battery Life: I can say Good. upon moderate usage, it requires charge 3-4 days once.

CONS:

It won’t support full qwerty keyboard.

Reliance netconnect ec1260 windows 7 problem latest fix

Recently, purchased SAMSUNG n150 netbook. its pre loaded with Windows 7 32 bit OS.All works fine except my Reliance netconnect broadband+ usb modem.

Asked Uncle Google and found many guys facing same issue. Few guys provided solution but hard to follow or not working in my case. Following mixed solution worked for me.

1.Do normal installation of netconnect by running auto run.

2.Download following latest drivers and extract to any folder

3.Remove device

4.Run driveruninstall.exe and wait for 30 secs

5.Next driversetup.exe and wait for 30 secs

6.Next run devsetup32.exe

7.Now connect deviceand start netconnect interface.

8.It should detect and ready to connect.

Enjoy!!!!!

In this way i resolved my Reliance netconnect broadband+ connection problem with Windows 7 OS.

Fix auto disconnection problem of idle 3G Modem for any OS

Many Internet service providers use idle disconnect feature. If there is no internet activity from user side for particular time period, ISP auto disconnects that user modem.

For example, you connected to your office using VPN and filling up some big form of data. It took few mins. After filling of form and clink submit, bingo – no connection as ISP disconnected your connection as there is no net usage past few mins. Many times this auto dis connect from ISP side feature causes problem.

Solution to auto disconnection of net from ISP side is very simple and no need to install any software. it works on any connection type and any Operating system.

So what is the Solution?

Just open http://timewasteblog.com/refresh.html and one of your browser tab and continue you work. Simple! your net or VPN connection never disconnects due to idle time.

How it works?

http://timewasteblog.com/refresh.html reloads every 30 seconds and requests page from server. So ISP never terminates your net connection due to idle time out.

Will this cause any load on system or increases bandwidth usuage ?

No, it won’t cause any extra load on your system and no bandwidth. Because http://timewasteblog.com/refresh.html having only 1 line of text. so safe to use!!!

So keep your 3G modem alive and net connection alive with this keepitalive alternative.
