Airtel beetel 220BX1 adsl2 modem port forwarding how to

with 6 comments

Airtel is the best dsl connection provider but it has one drawback - less area coverage. ok i got new airtel connection. beetel 220BX1 is the modem given by them. When i used last time - i optin for zyxel router. So port forwarding and DMZ is easy to setup. With same confidence opened modem admin interface.. Bingo ! shocking no where advanced configuration menu. Before calling customer care - i checked with our dearest friend :) google. Then i got solution you need to go http://192.168.1.1/main.html , there you can various advanced options. Thanks to google and person who shared this info

static ip vs dynamic ip for broadband internet connection

without comments

static ip vs dynamic ip for broadband internet connection - which one is better i am pulling out my hair. i want to take static becoz it is easy to connect ( offcourse you can do for dynamic ip by using no-ip.com like services. ) recenlty i want to host some webpages from my own home computer i heard that google never ranks for websites hosted on dynamic ips is that trure?

Dynamic ip means some what security while browseing underground sites and if some one bans restart your modem/router you will back untill unless banned complete domain based on reverse domain.

BSNL data-one unlimited plan is worest and waste

with 3 comments

DO you want to take BSNL data-one unlimited plan ? wait !!!!!! IT WON;T WORK FOR YOU IF YOU ARE ADVANCED USER OF INTERNET.

1.Download speed is ok BUT UPLOAD speed is worest. for 256kb plan 5k os upload speed.

result : no voip, no large attachments, no big uploads, to upload 2MbĀ  it takes ages.

Torrent downloads will be at un acceptable rates becoz you have very limited upload speed.

Take reliance,airtel and se difference.

my experience with india unlimited broadband internet plans

with one comment

1.my experience with unlimited broadband internet plans

some what iam medium type user of internet , my usage around 20 GB download 15 GB upload per month. so i always prefer 256 kbps unlimited plans. i tried airtel, bsnl data-one,reliance. at first shot i tried 256 kbps ( 32 KB) airtel dsl connection. zyxel router i opt in instead of modem as port forwarding is allowed and nat is in built. i usedit for 1 year.

Later moved to other place in my city and there is no coverage for airtel dsl in that area and hathway is there but local cable wala asking more money with very less bandwidth. 128 kbps - 800 rs :(

so i moved to BSNL broad band i will experience my bad experience in next post. with 2 months of usage , fed up and closed connection.

Next i moved to reliance wimax - i will post my review in next post. At present i am stick with this connection.
